Teachers Select What of S-GI Training
Needs to be Taught to all Teachers
Q: What Part of S-GI program should be Taught to Improve the Quality of Teaching?
• The ability to self-regulate as a teacher and how to teach that to children.
• The power of our words to encourage or discourage
• Learn to handle situations appropriately before they escalate.
• Teachers need to be taught how to deal with students who anger them so they don’t demean the
student and shut them down or cause them to escalate their anger.
Note 1: Of the 200 plus teachers surveyed, 93% believe they would be better teachers if they put
the skills they learned into practice on a daily (hourly) basis. Evaluations received beginning from
March 20, 2005 – Until 2007
Note 2: Because their training was not part of an ongoing contract that would allow for work toward the life-transforming habit change desired by them, there is no way to verify if this new awareness
led to significant habit change in the classroom. The probability is that in most cases it did not in that habit change at this level requires great personal diligence, good coaching and some small group work. Nevertheless, their comments do verify the remarkable self-awareness educational power of REPRIT Pedagogy created by The Santana-Grace Institute
